Aerial Dance/ Cirque du Soleil

So this past Saturday I started taking aerial dance lessons - basically lessons to do the types of acrobatics seen in Cirque du Soleil. I started with the aerial hoop/ring and fabric, and let me say it is not easy ^^; The amount of strength it takes just to mount the hoop is amazing; I still can't believe I managed to get myself to sit on it several times. But I am still sore from doing so now heheh. The fabric is fun to swing around on, though I'm hoping to learn some wraps so I can actually start doing something this Saturday. I can't believe how hard some of the wraps are to get into some of those really cool positions and then to flip around in the fabric...

It is AWESOME. I am loving it already. Though I am definitely remembering the old days of gymnastics through my aching muscles heheh.
